A meeting of the Regional Investment Headquarters was held in the Ulytau Region

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Kuantyrov participated in a meeting of the Regional Investment Headquarters as part of a working visit to the Ulytau Region. The event was organized by the regional Akimat and chaired by Dastan Ryspekov, Akim of the Ulytau Region.

The Regional Investment Headquarters brings together representatives of government agencies and local businesses during its meetings, serving as a liaison and communication tool. Previous meetings have been held in the Kyzylorda, Abay, and Akmola Regions.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Kuantyrov spoke at the meeting, noting the region's industrial potential and identifying the need to ensure a qualitative transition from a raw materials-based model to the development of high-tech and processing industries in the region.

"The Ulytau Region has large deposits of copper, iron ore, manganese, coal, and rare earth metals, which creates powerful potential for industrial processing," said Alibek Kuantyrov. Last year, the volume of attracted fixed capital investments exceeded 260 billion tenge. The region's investment activities are focused on three priority areas: deep processing and the chemical industry, the agro-industrial cluster, and industrial zones. Particular attention is paid to support and investor protection.

It is worth noting that a pool of 25 investment projects totaling approximately 500 billion tenge has been formed by 2030, creating over 2,000 permanent jobs.

During the meeting, participants discussed government support instruments to ensure a comfortable business environment in the region, including tax incentives, investment guarantee mechanisms, one-stop project support, and the institution of an investment ombudsman to promptly protect investors' rights.

The Deputy Minister also met with D. Ryspekov, Akim of the Ulytau Region.

During the meeting, the parties focused on the development of projects for the deep processing of mineral raw materials, mining and metallurgical production, energy infrastructure, and associated industrial logistics.

Alibek Kuantyrov then visited existing and under-construction industrial facilities in Zhezkazgan. These include:

- The garment factory of Yutariya LLC, which specializes in the production of clothing, protective equipment for the industrial sector, and military uniforms. The company is implementing AI, planning to use advanced technologies and control systems to improve production precision, reduce development time, and minimize waste.

- Construction of a vegetable storage facility with a capacity of up to 10,000 tons by Samadi A group LLC. The project aims to ensure food security and meet the needs of the local population. Commissioning is scheduled for 2026, with a total investment of approximately 2.2 million tenge.

- Construction of a wholesale distribution center with a capacity of up to 5,000 tons by PRIME CENTER LLC. The project will be implemented with the automation of logistics and warehouse processes and the ability to service rail and freight transport. Construction is planned to be completed this year, the total investment amount is 1.2 million tenge.
